Custom cakes

Tell us the occasion and the people, and Emma designs the cake that belongs to it. She makes every cake herself, by hand in Rozelle, from real butter, real chocolate and real eggs. Bespoke cakes start at $300. If you need one on a short lead time, Ready by Emma cakes run $95 to $295 with no quoting at all.

How it works

  • 1. Tell us the occasion

    Who it is for, how many you are feeding, the date. A photo you love is a good starting point, and so is a colour or a theme. You do not need a finished brief.

  • 2. Emma designs and quotes

    A custom cake is quoted on five things: the design, the ingredients, the structure, the finish, and the time it takes. Emma replies with a design and a flat price, usually within a day.

  • 3. Collect from Rozelle

    689 Darling Street, Tuesday to Friday 8am to 4pm, Saturday 8am to 1pm. Ask about delivery when you enquire and Emma will quote it.

  • Ready by Emma, $95 to $295

    The edited range. Same ingredients, same kitchen, ready on a short lead time. The 6 inch party cake is $95.

    Designed for the person. Extended height, painted ganache, fondant, sugar flowers, the number that matters. Quoted on the brief.

    Two tiers and up. Start with the tasting box, four flavours from the menu for $75, then sit down with Emma.

Made in a kitchen that handles eggs, dairy, nuts and gluten. We can make vegan, dairy free or gluten free cakes on request but cannot guarantee they are free from traces, and cannot cater to severe or anaphylactic allergies.
